Individual behavior therapy for children and families

Who it is for?

Children up to the age of 8 with a prescription for ABA services from a Center of Excellence. This prescription most often comes with a diagnosis of autism but does not require a diagnosis.

What to expect?

The first meeting will be an intake appointment. A provider will perform an assessment with your child and talk with you about their strengths and areas that you would like to work on. Together you will create a plan to move forward with your child.Once the intake is complete, a provider will come to your home 2-5 times per week for 2+ hours per day, depending on your child’s need and provider availability.Reach out to Cyrus with any other questions or to get a more comprehensive description of the program.

What is expected of you (the family)?

Caregiver training is an important part of ABA therapy. Parents and caregivers are expected to participate in at least an hour of training per week. This may be either in person or via telehealth.A caregiver must be present at all times during the session. The provider may bring some toys but also use the toys and activities available at your home. This therapy is meant to take place in your child's natural environment. Your house does not need to be spotless.
